The House of Representatives has resolved to probe the events surrounding the escape of a Binance executive from Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2024.
This motion was moved on Wednesday by Hon Dennis Okafor during plenary in Abuja.
Okafor, in his prayers, asked the relevant committees of the House to investigate and persecute those responsible for the escape of the Binance executive from detention.
Recall that Nadeem Anjarwalla, one of the two Binance executives held in Nigeria over purported tax evasion and other charges, managed to escape lawful custody on Friday, March 22.
He fled from the Abuja guest house where he and his colleague were detained, reportedly after guards allowed him to go to a nearby mosque for prayers during the Ramadan fast.
