Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement, NDLEA, has discovered drugs hidden in black soap at a courier firm in Lagos State.
The Director, Media & Advocacy of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a post shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, 28th May.
He shared pictures and videos of the black soap and wrote, “Underneath these containers of black soap, are concealed parcels of methamphetamine being sent to Europe by the desperados. This video shows the moment #ndlea_nigeria officers attached to courier firms made the discovery in Lagos weekend.”
In a statement by NDLEA, it stated that, its operatives at the SAHCO export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Ikeja, Lagos, intercepted the consignment of 30.10kg methamphetamine going to London, UK, another shipment containing 379grams of the same illicit substance concealed in false bottom of six black soap containers, packed in a carton containing local hand fans, heading to Cyprus in Europe
