The much anticipated arrival of a Nigerian Air carrier to boost commercial flights within and outside the country, has finally arrived.
The federal minister of Aviation, Hadi Abubakar Sirika announced the arrival of the Nigerian Aircraft with the inscription ‘Nigeria Air’ which landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, today.
In a video shared by the minister of Aviation on Twitter, captured the moment the aircraft landed. The video was accompanied with the caption;
“We are here. To Almighty God be all the glory. It has been a very long, tedious, daunting and difficult path. We thank everyone for the support. This, by the will of God, will be for us and generations to come. Ya Allah make it beneficial for our country and humanity”.
However, witnesses reported that, the registration number on the aircraft, ET-APL, suggests it was either purchased or rented from Ethiopian Airlines which operates such registration number.
Just one Aircraft with the inscribed Nigeria Air arrived the airport, fueling speculations of a last minute arrangement by the Aviation Minister to wow Nigerians.
