The National Examination Council (NECO), has disclosed that recruitment process for Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) and the Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) internal and external, would be done through their digital platform.
According to the council, before now all recruitment were done manually, which had resulted in some unpleasant experiences.
The new method of recruitment was revealed by the acting Director, Information and Digital Communication, NECO, Azeez Sani, in a statement, on Sunday, noting that digitalisation was introduced to check sharp practices in the recruitment process, and to enhance efficiency and effective service delivery.
Sani statement read, “The digitalisation process, which involves migration from the manual recruitment of Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors to an online system, would ensure that supervisors nomination form, appointment letters and supervisors’ e-photo albums are generated online.
“Also, routine swapping of supervisors and assistant supervisors during the examination would be done online. Interested and qualified teachers with National Certificate in Education (NCE), degree certificates, master degrees, PhD and professors, are eligible to apply as supervisors and assistant supervisors for the BECE or the SSCE internal or external.”
