Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has revealed that Nancy Isime, Rahama Sadau, Richard Ato Turkson will host the 2023 edition.
This was disclosed by AMAA chief operating officer (COO), Tony Anih, after meeting with the board of the Africa Film Academy (AFA), the organisers of the awards on Tuesday, October 24.
According to Anih, the award ceremony is scheduled to hold on Sunday, October 29, at the Balmoral Convention Centre inside the Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, adding that the theme for this season is ‘Renaissance: Legacy in motion’.
Anih said, “Get ready to be charmed, entertained, and dazzled on October 29, 2023! The stage is set for a night of cinematic excellence.”
Speaking of the task, Isime, who is a TV presenter and actress, said she is “absolutely looking forward to hosting the AMAAs on October 29”.
“Hoping to see everyone there as it promises to be an unforgettable evening,” she added.
Also speaking, Sadau said, “I am super excited and cannot wait to host the 2023 AMAAs,” while Richard Ato Turkson said he is looking forward to hosting the continental film awards ceremony.
In September, AFA announced the nomination list for this year’s awards edition.
