Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy has issued a warning to Speed Darlington following his release from prison.
Recall that Darlington was arrested on November 27 while performing at a show in Owerri, Imo state, and was accused of cyberstalking Burna Boy.
Darlington had previously made comments about Burna Boy’s affiliation with US rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is facing multiple charges.
After spending two months in Kuje prison, Darlington was released on Tuesday. In response, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to issue a warning, saying:
“If you like misbehave again, you will go back to where you come from! And this time around, there will be no mercy! Don’t mess with ODG.”
Although Burna Boy did not mention Darlington’s name directly, the context suggests that the warning was directed at him.
This is not the first time Darlington has had a run-in with the law over his comments about Burna Boy. In October 2024, he was detained by the police in Abuja after a formal complaint was filed by Burna Boy. He was released on bail after five days.
