Popular singer, Joseph Akinwale, better known as Joeboy, has disclosed that at the early stage of his career he predicted that meeting Wizkid would be an indication that he would be great.
He made this known during an interview with ‘Body and Soul’ on YouTube, on Thursday.
Joeboy was discovered by Mr. Eazi in 2017, and in just three years, the singer has accrued over 2 billion streams.
The singer, in the interview mentioned that meeting Wizkid was an indication that he would be great, he also said that Wizkid has been an inspiration to young artists who believed in themselves.
His words , “I said I’d make it the day I meet Wizkid. In 2018, I followed Eazi to a show when I saw Wizkid chatting with Eazi. He looked at me and asked me to come, and he chatted with me, and I told myself that this was the sign I needed.
“What I admire about Wizkid is that he has inspired young artists to believe that they can be successful.”
