Football superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, has broken YouTube record by reaching 10 million subscribers within 12 hours.
Ronaldo’s UR Cristiano channel, launched on August 21, has amassed 15.6 million subscribers globally.
His accomplishment surpassed the previous record set by Hamster Kombat, which took a full week to achieve the same subscriber count.
In 90 minutes after its launch, the channel attracted over 1 million subscribers. The growth continued to accelerate, with the total surpassing 6 million within six hours.
The channel kicked off with several videos, including a teaser trailer, an entertaining quiz game featuring Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez, and a segment showcasing Ronaldo’s encounter with his wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
These videos not only offered fans a peek into Ronaldo’s personal life but also highlighted his charismatic nature, further endearing him to his international audience.
Ronaldo expressed his appreciation to his fans on social media, affectionately referring to them as ‘SIUUUbscribers,’ a playful nod to his famous ‘Siu’ celebration.
He conveyed his excitement in a heartfelt message: ‘A present for my family … Thank you to all the SIUUUbscribers!’
