Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has regained freedom after meeting bail terms set for his release.
This is following his arrest for refusing to pay the N14 million debt he incurred when he purchased a G-Wagon from a car dealer in Lagos State.
Portable’s release was confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, to PUNCH on Wednesday evening.
When asked if Portable had been released after meeting his bail conditions, the PPRO said, “He’s been granted bail.”
Replying to a comment seeking to know if Portable spent the Night in Police Custody over failure to meet bail conditions, Hundeyin on Wednesday morning, said, “He has presented no reliable surety yet so he (Portable) is still with us.”
