Nollywood actress and producer, Mary Njoku, has called on Nigerian religious women to stop talking down on vitro fertilization (IVF), stressing that the fertility treatment is perfectly acceptable.
Njoku noted this in a series of posts on her Instagram page on Thursday, encouraging women to openly share their IVF journeys in testimonies.
She wrote, “Dear Nigerian religious Women! There is nothing wrong with IVF. God created us with the wisdom to find solutions to our challenges.
“Feel free to include IVF in your testimonies, so that God can use your story to inspire and bless other families as well. Testimony is not mandatory! If you no fit tell us TRUE story, rest Abeg. Make God no vex for you.
“Saying IVF failed you but God gave you a miracle is absurd. IVF is a miracle! C-sections are a miracle! God has blessed countless families through them.
“If it didn’t work for you, it might work for someone else. Stop using religion to discourage others from receiving their blessing. Miracles can come in different forms. ‘Hebrew Woman’”
