The social media feud between Nigerian Afrobeats singers, Portable and Davido, has intensified, with Portable launching another attack on Davido after the latter unfollowed him on Instagram.
It all started when Portable accused Davido of giving him misguided advice during a recent dinner in the United States, the two have been at odds on social media since then.
According to Portable, Davido, who is signed with Sony Music, advised him against joining the same label and instead suggested he sign with Empire.
Portable interpreted this as an act of foul play, claiming that he, like Davido, aspires to win a Grammy.
He expressed concern that joining Empire might not support his Grammy ambitions in the same way Sony Music could.
In response to Portable’s public criticism, OBO crooner unfollowed him on Instagram on Thursday.
Reacting to this, Portable stated that he does not need Davido’s followership and help to win a Grammy.
In the video shared on his official Instagram page, Portable said, “They tried to destroy me and quickly unfollowed me because I stopped being beneficial to them. Whether you help me or not, I will do my tour; whether you follow me or not, I will collect Grammy.”
