OWERRI– It was glitz, glamour and a celebration of love at Owerri, the capital city of Imo State on Saturday 8th September 2018, as Barrister Magnus Iheanyichukwu Ejelonu and Barrister Maria Obianujunwa Onyinyechi Ahaneku were joined in holy matrimony as husband and wife.
The marriage ceremony which attracted dignitaries from far and wide, kicked off with a Holy Mass at the St. Joseph Catholic Chaplaincy, Imo State University, Owerri.
After the joining of the couple in holy matrimony, the officiating Priest, Rev. Fr. Longinus Chukwuemeka Chinagorom charged the couple to live as one.
The ceremony later shifted to the bride’s family house at Amaorji Eziome Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State where the couple danced to the melodious tune of the Odenigbo Highlife band.
Highpoint of the occasion was the cutting of the wedding cake as well as the blessing of the couple by the parents of the wife. The couple were also presented with gifts by guests present who had more than enough continental and local delicacies and assorted drinks to cool off.
