PORT HARCOURT – The garden city of Portharcourt, Rivers State stood still on Saturday September 29, 2018 as Barrister Caleb Osemudiame Oboagwina and Barrister Florence Okonbia Ogan were joined in holy matrimony as husband and wife. The wedding ceremony which attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, took place at Church of God Mission International, Grace Place, Elelenwo, Port Harcourt. In his sermon after the exchange of marital vows, Rev. Ken Idehen, the Senior Pastor CGMI Grace Place, admonished the couple to live as one and be submissive to each other.
It is noteworthy that this colourful wedding which was filled with glitz, glamour and pomp, was a South-South classic as well as a handshake across the Niger as the groom is from Igueben in Edo State whereas the bride comes from Okrika in Rivers State.
The ceremony later shifted to the Spring Place Event Center Portharcourt, where the reception was held.
Chairman of the occasion who was also the father of the bride, Chief Akaluoagbo Tamunokonbia thanked God for making the day a success and prayed for the success of the union.
After the cutting of the wedding cake, the couple took to the dance floor showcasing scintillating and romantic dance steps to the admiration of all present.
Highpoint of the occasion was a special performance by Eagle Dynasty Dance Troupe as well as the throwing of the bouquet.
The couple were also presented with gifts by guests present who had more than enough continental and local delicacies and assorted drinks to cool off.
The groom who is the President of EasyRead Educational Resources in his vote of thanks, appreciated everyone who came around for the occasion and wished all safe trip back home.
