U.S Secretary of State, Antony J. Blinken, has said, immigrants make U.S. diplomacy stronger, smarter, and more innovative.
Blinken noted this on Twitter, where he also celebrated immigrants for their invaluable contributions to the U.S.
This is following a campaign video, shared by the former U.S. president, Donald Trump. In the video, Trump promised when re-elected, will secure the borders from immigrants, referring to them as illegal aliens.
Trump said, “As part of my plan to secure the border on day one of my new term in office, I will sign an executive order making clear to federal agencies that under the correct interpretation of the law, going forward, the future children of illegal aliens will not receive automatic US citizenship.”
Meanwhile, Antony Blinken stated that immigrants contribute to the innovation of the U.S.
He wrote, “During June, we celebrate National Immigrant Heritage Month and honor the invaluable contributions of immigrants to the United States, including here at the @statedept. Immigrants make U.S. diplomacy stronger, smarter, and more innovative.”
