United States President, Joe Biden, has announced plans of paying a solidarity visit to Israel on Wednesday, October 18, following the Hamas attacks.
This was disclosed by the Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, after meeting for nearly eight hours at the defence ministry with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, October 17.
Blinken said, ”the president will reaffirm United States’ solidarity with Israel and our ironclad commitment to its security.”
“Israel has the right and indeed the duty to defend its people from Hamas and other terrorists and to prevent future attacks,” Blinken said.
Biden “will hear from Israel what it needs to defend his people as we continue to work with Congress to meet those needs,” he said.
This is coming days after Biden announced that he supports that Hamas Terrorists be wiped out.
“Hamas is a bunch of cowards. They’re hiding behind the civilians. Taking out the extremists is a necessary requirement,” Biden stated in an interview with CBS News on Sunday, October 15.
