King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla, has been officially crowned at Westminster Abbey, London.
The King was crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, with the 360-year-old St Edward’s Crown.
The congregation cried “God save the King” and gun salutes were also fired across the UK to mark the moment.
King Charles III who is the 13th Monarch of United Kingdom, was presented with an array of items, known as the coronation regalia.
The regalia includes the Spurs, the Armills, the Orb, the Ring, the Glove, the Rod and the Sceptre.
Queen Camilla, was anointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury and handed her regalia: the Ring, Rod and Sceptre, officially giving her the status of Queen.
The King and Queen wore their Robes of Estate, with the King’s robe having previously been worn by King George V and King George VI.
All eight living prime ministers were present at Westminster Abbey ahead of the coronation.
Sir John Major, Sir Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak were all in attendance.

The King made his way out Westminster Abbey as guests sang “God save the King”.
