King Charles III of Great Britain has been diagnosed with cancer.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Buckingham Palace on Monday, February 5, noting that the King “has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties”
According to the statement, the King has been placed on regular treatments.
The statement read, “During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.
“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, the royal reporter, Omid Scobie in another post on X claimed that the king’s cancer “is not prostate cancer,” noting that Charles’ team won’t be sharing “further details” on his health battle at this time.
