The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin is reportedly ready to halt the war in Ukraine with a negotiated ceasefire that recognises the current battlefield lines.
This was made known by REUTERS on Friday, citing four anonymous Russian sources familiar with the matter.
According to REUTERS report, Putin said he is prepared to fight on if Kyiv and the West do not respond.
One of the sources interviewed noted that, “Putin can fight for as long as it takes, but Putin is also ready for a ceasefire – to freeze the war.”
