The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee has released the names of 64 legal practitioners who it is considering for admission into the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN for 2018.
Among the shortlisted applicants are the General Secretary of the NBA Isiaka Abiola Olagunju, Lagos lawyer and human rights activist Ebun-Olu Samuel Adegboruwa, the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isa Chiroma amongst several other eminent legal practitioners
In a statement obtained by LAWYERS BAR, the Secretary of the LPPC, Hadizatu Mustapha Esq, who also doubles as the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, stated that the Committee shortlisted 55 practicing lawyers and 9 Academics. The successful candidates emerged after two advocates’ filtration, academic pre-qualification exercise and the appeal process.

5. Any complaint(s) presented to the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee shall be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to before a Court of Record in Nigeria.
6. Ten (10) copies of such comments or complaints must be submitted at the Office of the Secretary, Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee at the Supreme Court of Nigeria Complex, Abuja not later than 4.00pm on Monday 14th May, 2018.
