The President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pleaded with Nigerian youths to be understanding and patience as he assured that these challenges would eventually pass, leading to a more equitable and prosperous economy.
Tinubu made this plea while Speaking before an audience of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Leaders from all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Thursday, 27th July, 2023.
According to Tinubu, he knows about the challenges Nigerians are currently facing due to Fuel subsidy removal policy.
Tinubu said, “I make my pledge to the country that no decision will be difficult for this administration to take for the prosperity and unity of this country.”
The president also said that he understands the pains that citizens of the country are facing.
“I can assure you that I understand the pains you are going through. It’s not easy to get out the monster of over forty years called fuel subsidy.’’
He further urged Nigerian youth to be patient, adding that the process might be slow but it is essential to overcome the challenges posed by the long-standing fuel subsidy system.
