Meta has announced that Content creators in Nigeria and Ghana can now earn money on Facebook and Instagram.
Meta launched new monetization options for eligible content creators in Nigeria and Ghana, on Monday, July 1, 2024.
According to Meta now, creators can earn money from their videos and reels on Facebook through the following features: In-Stream Ads on Facebook, Facebook Ads on Reels, Live ads, Bonuses and subscriptions.
Eligibility Criteria
Creators must meet the following criteria to be eligible for monetization:
Be at least 18 years old
Have at least 10,000 followers
Have at least 600,000 total minutes viewed in the last 60 days
Comply with Facebook’s monetization policies
Also, Meta also specified that creators must have a minimum of 5,000 followers, for in-stream advertisements.
