By Michael Odiah
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori at the hallow chambers on Tuesday November 14, 2017, lauded the efforts of Honourable Members for their strong commitment towards the 2018 budget defense adding that he is entirely proud of all members for making his work easy.
Oborevwori added that, the Delta State House of Assembly is ever vibrant and cannot afford to disappoint Deltans adding that the cordial relationship between the legislative and executive arm will continue to wax stronger.
Also at the day’s plenary, the Majority Leader of the House Hon. Tim Owhofere, informed the house about a colleague, member representing Ughelli South, Hon Reuben Uzezi who was placed on three months suspension two months ago for actions that brought the house disrepute, has over the period shown remorse, reached out to members and has categorically pledged to be of good standards henceforth.
The Majority Leader thereafter moved that the three months suspension be lifted off to enable Hon Uzezi resume sittings immediately. His prayer was swiftly supported by the member representing Oshimili North constituency who doubles as the Chief Whip of the House, Hon. Barr. Princess Pat Ajuduah.
At the request of a voice vote by the Speaker, the House unanimously agreed in favor of the motion that the suspension be lifted and that Hon Uzezi should resume sittings immediately.
