In an undying quest to bequeath honour to a true representative and bonafide Son of Anioma, the Ekwueme and Executive Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, the Anioma Nation has set aside Saturday the 21st day of April 2018 to honour Governor Okowa at the Cenotaph, Asaba.
Disclosing this to press men in Asaba, the Chairman of the planning committee for the ceremony, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi, Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, who was represented by the Chairman, Media and Publicity of the event who doubles as the State Commissioner for Information, Hon Patrick Ukah said “we the Anioma people have come in our large numbers to thank God for giving us a true Son”, adding that, “we have decided to come together to give him a sound reception come Saturday, April 21. A day we will all live to remember”.
Ukah further said that every true Anioma will stand still for Governor Okowa that day as leaders of Governor’s great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), with over three serving state governors, past and serving senators, reputable dignitaries across Nigeria will be there to grace the occasion.
He noted that, “only a prodigal son of Anioma will not be there that day, as this is not political but traditional and spiritual”.
Ukah urged all Deltans to turn up for the great event to witness the show of unity inbound in Anioma Nation, adding that Anioma traditional rulers are totally involved and that the reception goes beyond an Anioma business, but a Delta and Nigeria business in extension.
