The Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Kingsley Obiora, has been arrested by the Department of State Services, in connection with the suspended CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele’s investigation.
This was disclosed by Business Day Report on Friday, September 1, noting that his arrest followed allegations of financial mismanagement under Emefiele.
According to Reports, Obiora was being targeted as a principal witness against Emefiele, his boss.
Recall that, Emefiele has been in the custody of the DSS since June 10, 2023, since then series of investigations has been ongoing.
Obiora, born March 06, 1976, resumed as a Deputy Governor in the Central Bank of Nigeria on March 02, 2020.
