An Ebonyi State based Prophet and General Overseer of King of Kings Deliverance Ministries worldwide, Ulepa Nyezi in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Prophet Emmanuel Chukwudi has called on the Edo State governor and governor- elect to rule the state with the fear of God and listen to the people.
Prophet Chukwudi made the call while congratulating Governor Godwin Obaseki on his victory and eulogised him for the Thanksgiving held Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
Prophet Chukwudi noted that Obaseki’s victory at the poll was prayer answered for Edo people and admonished the governor to administer the state in accordance with God’s precepts.
“God has answered Edo people’s prayers and the word of the Lord has come to pass. Remember in 2016, I prophesised that Obaseki will win, and he won. In 2020 I gave this prophesy in February, that’s the first time I told the public that come rain come sun, Obaseki must remain the Governor because God has had eight years governorship to him. No man born of a woman can stop him because he is an annointed of the Lord and you can see that the word of the Lord does not fall on the ground.
“The message I have for the Governor is that as God has handed the mantle of leadership to him, he should use it carefully, he should do the work God has sent him in that Government House because by so doing God will favour him to raise another person that will succeed him in office. That’s what am seeing in the spiritual realm. God will raise another person that will succeed him, there will not be crisis, there will never be a problem because God has come to reign in Edo.
“I advise the Governor that he should hearken to the voice of the people and hearken to the word of the Lord and rule Edo people with the fear of God.”
Addressing Edo people at the well attended Thanksgiving service, Godwin Obaseki declared that election war was over and that it is the responsibility of his administration to re-unite Edo people, including opponents for the purpose of peace and development.
He said his victory in the September 19 governorship election was an affirmation by Edo people to enable him continue and intensify the developmental strides across the state in the next four years.
The governor assured Edo people that he will continue to embrace peace as he has always done because sustainable development can only happen in a peaceful Edo State, adding, “The election war is over and our responsibility as an administration is to re-unite Edo people including our brothers from the other side to enable us have peace, create an environment required to build and develop our state and nation at large.”
“In the build-up to the election, our fear was that of violence, as we never wanted to have election victory over innocent blood. We thank God Almighty that our worst fear never happened in the state.
“Our coming to this point is prophetic as my mother about 30 years ago in a casual conversation said, ‘your generation is the last of the old order and the beginning of the new.’ We should accept the responsibility of fixing Nigeria as no one will do it for us. So, when I found myself in politics, I had no choice but to give my best,” Obaseki said.
The governor expressed appreciation to his deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, describing him as an anchor that the Lord used to preserve the administration and for bearing the brunt of the struggle to liberate the state together with his wife, Mrs. Maryann Shaibu and family.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Edo State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Oriname Oyonnude Kure, described the reelection of Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, as divine, adding that God used President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure a peaceful, free, fair and credible election.
“Your victory is divine and it is proof of the confidence Edo people reposed in you as a man of integrity, love and character for his people. Your administration’s developmental strides have put our state in an enviable position in the comity of states in Nigeria.
“We deeply appreciate and thank God for using President Muhammadu Buhari for the unprecedented peaceful, free, fair, credible and violence-free election.”
