Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Abok Ayuba, has canvassed for religion harmony among adherence of the different faith in Nigeria.
The Speaker in a special Sallah message, on behalf of the Leadership, Members and staff of the house felicitates with Muslims faithful on the commemoration of the Eid-el-Kabir.
A statement from his Press Secretary, Bulus Atang, Abok calls on Muslims to always emulate the virtue of Prophet Muhammad which includes sacrifice, obedience, love for others and peaceful coexistence.
The Speaker adds, Prophet Muhammad preached and lived for peace which should be exhibited by every Muslim particularly in a diverse society such as Plateau and Nigeria at large.
He said the Eid-el-Kabir should be an occasion for sober reflections and commitment to ideals that would enhance peace and prosperity of Plateau State and the Country as a whole.
The lawmaker called on Nigerians irrespective of their religion beliefs to use the period of Eid-el-Kabir celebrations to pray for an end to coronavirus Pandemic and other challenges Confronting the Nation.
Ayuba enjoins Muslim faithful to ensure modest celebration by adhering to Covid-19 safety guidelines.
The Speaker said the 9th Plateau State Assembly would continue to do it best to make positive impact on the lives of citizenry through appropriate Legislations
