The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, has received a heartfelt welcome from his family members, marking a poignant moment amid his ongoing legal saga.
Kyari was released from the Kuje Custodial Centre in the Federal Capital Territory after spending 27 months in detention.
Recall, Kyari was arrested on February 14, 2022, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, over alleged connections to an international drug cartel, was arraigned on March 7, 2024, along with four members of the Police Intelligence Response Team – Sunday Ubia, Bawa James, Simon Agirigba and John Nuhu.
In pictures circulating on the social media on Saturday, Kyari was seen in the company of his family members, with a write-up on the wall that reads, “Welcome Back.”
