The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has on strucked out the firearm charge filed against the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
The judgement which was presided over by Justice Nicholas Oweibo, on Thursday, 17th August, stated that the court has strucked out the firearm charge filed against Emefiele.
This is following the withdrawal application made by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Ministry of Justice, Mohammed Abubakar.
Recall that at the last adjourned date, Abubakar made an oral application to the court to withdraw the charge against Emefiele.
Abubakar stated that the withdrawal is to enhance further investigations.
