The court trial of Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, was again stalled at Yaba Chief Magistrate court on Tuesday due to the absence of the Magistrate.
The judge, Adeola Olatubosun, that was supposed to preside over Seun Kuti case was said to be on an official assignment. This was communicated to counsel in the suit by the court registrar.
Olatubosun had, on Thursday, 18th May, adjourned the case until Tuesday, 23rd May, after she extended the case following an application by the police to enable completion of investigation of the alleged assault.
Recall that Kuti was arrested for assaulting a police officer on May 16.
He allegedly committed the offense on May 13 at Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
The police charged him for slapping an inspector after driving dangerously on the bridge and deliberately blocking a moving police vehicle.
