The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has approved Police Award Night, aimed at recognizing and honoring officers who have demonstrated exemplary performances in the line of duty across the nation.
This announcement was made through a statement shared on the Force official X handle (@policeNG) on Friday, January 5.
According to the statement, the event is scheduled to take place on January 25, 2024, at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja.
The statement read, “The IGP has approved the organization of the Police Awards Night, where he intends to honour officers with exemplary performances in the course of their duties across the country.
“The event will come up on 25th Jan, 2024, in the FCT Abuja. We have called for nominations from our commands and formations for immediate planning. Thanks to the IGP for this initiative of reward system.”
The announcement follows the IGP’s commitment to acknowledging and appreciating the dedicated service of police officers throughout the country.
