Former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, Present in Court to Request Bail Conditions Adjustment.
Recall that the ex-CBN governor has been on trial for six counts charges bordering on procurement fraud amounting to N1.2 billion.
This was the first time he would be making an appearance in court without stern-looking armed security personnel guiding him to the courtroom.
Emefiele was discharged from Kuje Custodial Centre on December 23, 2023, 34 days post the judge’s approval of his bail.
He is requesting the court to reconsider certain aspects of the bail terms.
Currently, Justice Hamza Muazu of the FCT High Court is hearing arguments on the issue.
