The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, has instructed residents of Mando, Kauya, Tsamiya, and Afaka general areas in Kaduna State, not to panic but stay calm over the sound of gunshots in the communities.
The Academy’s Public Relations Officer, Maj. Victor Olukoya made this known in a statement released to pressmen in Kaduna on Monday.
The statement titled, ‘Nigerian Defence Academy is scheduled to hold range exercise for cadets of Direct Short Service Course 27 (Army) and 31 (Air Force) from 19 – 22 June 2023.’
Olukoya also noted that the NDA would conduct Range Exercise for Cadets of Direct Short Service Course 27 Army and 31 Airforce at NDA open range Afaka, adding that the exercises will start from the 19 – 22 of June, 2023.
His words, “Consequently, inhabitants of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya, and Afaka general area are advised to stay clear of the range area and not to panic on hearing the sound of gunshots during the period of the exercise.”
