…as NDDC Inaugurates Headquarters Commissioning Committee
The Executive Director of Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Dr. Cairo Ojougboh has urged Nigerians to discountenance every word thrown at the Interim Management Committee (IMC) and the Commission.
Dr. Ojougboh who made this statement during the inauguration of 17-Man Completion/Commissioning Committee of the NDDC Headquarters at Eastern Bypass Rivers State, also note that the commission has resolved to continue its normal inspections and other activities of the Commission not finding any distraction.
He said “Let me thank Mr. President and Minister of Niger Delta for giving us the IMC the opportunity to serve and to reiterate that we are ever determined to serve no matter all their terms to distract us. Therefore, we have put everything behind us, we have forgiven, we have forgotten and we have gone to work.”
“And our first mandate is to complete and Commission this edifice, the Permanent NDDC Headquarters, PortHarcout. I want to also thank the MD, Prof. Pondei for selecting this Completion/Commissioning Committee and to reassure both the Minister, the Commission and Nigeria that we will not disappoint”.
Ojougboh further said; “Going, forward the commission has resolved that we will not mind the distraction anymore; we will go on with our job. The normal inspections and every activities of the Commission will continue as usual. The distraction we have grown above it. We are now use to it; and we encourage Nigerians to discountenance every word thrown at the IMC and the Commission. This one is the first of the will of the Commission to make sure that we do not derail.
“We promise Mr. President and Nigeria that we will deliver. We also reiterate that the Forensic Audit is going forward as Normal and nothing whatsoever will prevent the Forensic Audit from being completed”.
“We however thank the MD and assure that the committee will perform because this is a very serious task and therefore the assignment must be delivered holistically.” He added.
