The Nigerian Labour Congress has threatened to proceed with an indefinite Nationwide strike, should there be another petrol price hike in the country.
The president of the organization, Joe Ajaero, announced this on Monday, 14th July, at the African Trade Union alliance meeting in Abuja.
According to reports, oil marketers on Sunday said that the cost of petrol, would rise to between N680/lite and N720/litre in the coming weeks should dollar continue to trade from N910 to N950 at the parallel market.
The Union also warned against government undermining their demands.
Recall that the organization had early suspended a proposed indefinite strike on Thursday, August 4, 2023, after a meeting with President Tinubu.
