The Delta State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp (NSCDC), Sam Ego Ezeagbogho has said that the major alarming crime in the state is pipeline tampering and that the command over the years has drastically reduced the act to below average, but its set out to bring it below minimum over time.
Commandant Ezeagbogho made these statements Tuesday January 23, 2017 at the State Command Headquarters in Asaba during a media parley with Journalists from the Indigenous Correspondents Chapel (ICC) of the Delta State NUJ Council, stressing that the role of the command during the just concluded council polls was a huge success due to the pre-test, test and post-test of strategies implemented and the importance attached to prayers in all its activities “for if God does not watch a city, the watchman watcheth in vain”.
“The role of the Command during the just concluded council polls cannot be over emphasized. It even attracted an award and commendations from reputable cooperate bodies,” the Commandant harped.
She assured members of ICC and NUJ in extension of a robust symbiotic relationship within its capacity with the command, taking cognizance of the cogent importance of the press in any given society, adding that she is going to look into the lagging areas in the Command as concerns work stations of its officers over time.
