In fulfilment of his 2015 campaign promises to Deltans, the Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has approved the construction of more roads in the State.
The Commissioner for Information, Mr Patrick Ukah made disclosed this at a post Exco press briefing of journalists, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Asaba, adding that the roads approved by Exco for construction and reconstruction in the State included the reconstruction and resurfacing of Old Umunede/Emuhu Road with a spur to the Asaba/Benin Express Way in Ika South Local Government Area and the construction of Obiaruku/Umuebu Road (Phase 1; first 5 kilometers from Obiaruku) in Ukwuani Local Government Area.
According to Ukah, Exco also approved the reconstruction of Ekete main road, off DSC express way, Ekete inland; Udu local government area and the reconstruction of Ovivomowa Road in Osubi to link Etokpo lane/Mac Nero, and the construction of Bethel Oborevwori Crescent/Iyamu Street in Osubi to link Maroko in Okuokoko adding that the reconstruction of Amai/Ezionum Abbi Road. completion of phase iv to the project (3.7kilometres length between Ezionum and Abbi in Ukwuani and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas and construction of Access Road to Ugbuwangue New Layout, Off Vincent Uduaghan Road, Ugbuwangue, Warri South Local Government Area were also approved.
