Rivers State Lawmakers has started the impeachment process on Siminalayi Fubara.
Presiding over the impeachment are about 23 lawmakers, including the Speaker, Martin Amaewhule.
The Lawmakers immediately after the sitting on Monday, October 30, were seen at about 8:15 am driving out of the Assembly with heavy security escorts.
According to report, the lawmakers has suspended the leader of the House, Edison Ehie, and some of their colleagues believed to be loyal to the governor.
Recall that there was an explosion at the assembly complex on Sunday night as the chamber was razed.
Meanwhile, the governor while addressing the public gathered at the Government house, stated that he does care about being impeached, but vowed to resist an unjust process
