Myetti Allah Threats On Call For The Arrest of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo: A Tale of Terror Taken Too Far
The leadership of the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide (Igbimo Odo Yoruba) laconically frowned at the statement credited to Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association on the call for the arrest of Yoruba Elderstateman Chief Olusegun Obasanjo by the Federal Government is rather ridiculous, reckless and nebulous from figment of their imagination, for Myetti Allah group have been in the eyes of the storm for endorsement of armed bandits serial criminal records of grave consequences targeted at dividing the nation across ethnic lines.
We want to state categorically that the statement is terror taken to far, more defined to be treasonable, nauseating and self-serving provocative joke, especially in the face of deering multifaceted issues of merciless killings, unending kidnappings and illicit invasion, particularly in Yoruba Land and other regions, perpetrated by the dreaded armed bandits and gun wielding herdsmen linked to the Myetti Allah Group as key sponsor and facilitator of these marauders, with attendant records of unleashed pains, agony, nasty and brutish killings of innocent Nigerians and unquantifiable destruction of properties and farmlands worth billions of Naira across the nation to mention a few.
We take the recent Myetti Allah Group’s denial of Fulani Killers linked to the murder of Mrs Funke Olakunri daughter of Pa Reuben Fasoranti as an affront against the sovereignty of Nigeria and negates reasoning and sensibility of Nigerians, especially as it is established they are shielding crimes and representing Armed Herdsmen’s killers publicly in the full glare of the media, this amount to high-powered complicity on the part of government and questionable conspiracy, and an act of treason felony, breach of public peace cum seditious hate speech, and security breach and frontal violation of the extant laws and rights of other Nigerians.
Hence, we call on President Muhammadu Buhari to heed to the advice of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in the interest of the nation, we see Baba’s views as testimonials to the recent break down of state powers and fast reducing Nigeria into a pariah state of lawlessness and anarchy, precipitating our fundamental demands for the immediate arrest of the promoters and sponsors of this outlawed organization: MACBAN, excessively hinged on promoting evil, war and mass killings and kidnappings of Nigerians, hence if this is not checkmated it may lead all Nigerians to engage them in a brutal attacks and mass defence of our common patrimony, based on the crossed redline of peace and patience, we call all relevant Security outfits to react and avoid an imminent looming danger, in order to halt this ugly development.
Our position is clear abinitio after our warning of the Coalition of Northern Youth Groups to apologize and retract their tacit 30 days ultimatum to lapse on the 4th of August, 2019, wherein we were anticipating a palliative amelioration of the terror caused our people, based on the appeal of Serikin Fulani of Lagos, Alhaji Magammad Bambado, whom we owe in high esteem to have equally call the Myetti Allah group to order, with a stand warning to stop overheating the polity with inciting statement forthwith.
It is also worrisome that other Hausa/ Fulani business, professional and political leaders have all remained silent in the face of these jaundice and unhelpful provocations by Myetti Allah group now metamorphosing to be frontally positioning themselves as ventilator mouthpiece of the government, with this impending daily threats by some unrepentant clanished views, we would not want to hurriedly conclude that the Fulani leader’s silence is a tactical endorsement for the ill motivated actions of these rogues killers.
On our part, we would explore all possible avenues to ensure all agent provocateur of Nigeria of this unguided, divisive, hate speech and treasony comments, as well as the perpetrators of these heinous killings are arrested and prosecuted forthwith.
We laud the statement of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo during his condolence visit to Pa Fasotmranti’s House in Akure, Ondo State that the Federal Government shall henceforth deploy all military and other security agencies formations for onward surveillance, road check points and ancillary community security peace keeping and ensure adequate safety of lives and properties of all Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity, geographical locations and political ideologies.
We are using this medium to canvasing for peaceful coexistence amongst all the various tribes in the country, for only peace can bring economic growth to the country, urging the Federal government to always ensure that all their policies are devoid of favoring one particular ethnic group over the other, noting that such is the major cause of growing distrust in the country.
We have emphatically spoken.
