The Supreme Court has affirmed the victory of Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, dismissing the appeal by the All Progressives Congress and its governorship candidate, Aisha Dahiru.
The apex court held that Governor Fintiri was validly elected in accordance with the provisions of the law, adding that Dahiru appeal lacked merit.
Okoro noted that the exclusive power to announce election results lies with the Returning Officer and not the REC.
