A Chieftain of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), in Edo state, Hon. Pius Alile has reassured the people of Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency of his commitment to the upliftment of the down trodden, empowerment of women and youths in the federal constituency.
Hon. Alile gave the assurance Friday while addressing his supporters under the aegis of Hon. Pius Alile Support Group who came to welcome him at the Benin Airport from Europe.
Honourable Alile who was accompanied by his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Marian Alile, said he was in Europe to sensitize Nigerians in the Diaspora on the programs of his party, the ADP.
“You can see that people from my federal Constituency, Ikpoba-Okha are well represented here. They are the people I am yearning to support, the people I am working to protect their interest,” he said.
While reiterating that the ADP will care for the youths, women, men, the aged and widows, Hon. Alile who is a former Councillor in Egor Local Government Council berated the All Progressives Congress, APC and People’s Democratic Party, PDP for their alleged failure to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people in the last eighteen years.
“You know that the two existing major parties have failed. The APC and the PDP have completely failed the people.
“ADP is the party for the people, the party for the women, the party for the youths, the party for the down trodden.”
Alile also used occasion to call people in other political parties to come to ADP said, “we appeal to people in other political parties especially APC whose dignity have been debased should come to ADP, we are going to restore their dignity, especially political dignity.”
Also speaking, wife of the former Councillor, Dr. Mrs. Marian Alile thanked members of Hon. Alile Support Group for organizing the Airport reception for them.
As further demonstration of his determination to uplift members of Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency, Hon. Alile after the Airport reception headed straight to the Egor Local Government Area Secretariat of the party where he donated a water spraying machine to members of Egor Farmers Association.
Receiving the water spraying machine on behalf of the association, chairman of the association, Ogieva Ohenhen thanked Hon. Alile for the gesture assuring that the over four thousand five hundred members of the association will support his political aspiration.
Also speaking, the ADP chairmanship candidate for Egor Local Government Area in 3 March Edo state local government election extolled the sterling qualities of Hon. Alile.
He described him as a patriot and philanthropist who as a Councillor awarded scholarships and bursaries to students and sank bore holes with his money.
Also eulogising the ADP chieftain, Vincent Omoigui, ADP chairman in Ikpoba-Okha local government area said his impact is being felt in several communities in the local government area where Hon. Alile is grading roads saying areas hitherto not accessible can now be accessed because of the gesture.
