The Delta state Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Amb. Hon. Okeh Idawene (JP) has said that the move tagged “Operation take over Delta State and Nigeria” targeted at taking over completely Aso Rock and the Delta State government House which is their destination come 2019, is at top gear following outcome of recent meetings and consultations.
Amb. Idawene made these revelations at the party’s State Headquarters in Asaba on March 7, 2018 stressing that, “SDP is the New Political Order” following the recent evident political revolution, adding that the party is fully on ground in the state and cuts across all 25 local government areas and that people having seen this are scrambling to join this new political order including the creme-dé-la-creme of the nation at all levels.
The party chairman who however stated that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has not performed badly in the state, stressed that SDP is here to do better taking cognizance of the fact that SDP is rooted in true federalism, devolution of power, food and light for the nation, jobs for the masses and security for the masses, which are areas where both PDP and APC have failed beyond recognition, adding that the Social Democratic Party is here to practice constitutionally, true federalism and take Nigeria to greater heights in Africa and beyond.
He further informed that SDP is fully in support of the ‘not too young to run’ bill and has integrated youths into the party’s political system, saying that SDP will continue to encourage and field in more youths at different levels alongside women to enable them pursue their political ambitions.
Amb Idawene further charged executive members of the party at all levels not to relent from their good works, but rather go back home and better their good deeds as they prepare to take over Delta State and Nigeria in extension, noting that overall peace and stability should be ensured at all levels and that no executive or leader should engage in selling of their rights following the recent migration of other party faithfuls to the new political order as “money is nothing; good name is better than wealth”, he added.
