A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP bribed Mobile Networks specifically MTN to jam calls and deprive people from accessing internet in order to conceal their rigging activities in the just concluded local government elections in Delta State.
While briefing Journalists on the findings in the course of the election at Royal Court Hotel, Agbor, Ojougboh claimed that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa went to bribe MTN to hack the network in Ika land to prevent people from making calls and browsing the internet.
“Journalists, you people can see it for yourself. As at this morning, network was going on well but they later hacked the network. You hardly call and browse.”
“It is visible that there was no election in the whole of Ika South. The Governor submitted the result sheets to DSIEC yesterday and what is flying around is fake.”
“How can they be struggling in their own local Government. We learnt that they snatched cameras of journalists in Ute-Okpu ,if they are popular, why would they be seizing cameras from journalists. That means they rigged the election.”
“DSIEC Office in Ughelli was burnt down and we learnt some persons were killed in Ughelli. It means they were not on ground”.
Ojougboh while dismissing the notion that APC never campaigned, noted that APC engaged in ward to ward campaign which placed PDP in a tight corner to resort to rigging and causing blood shed.
He assured Deltans that he is going to address a world press conference to tell the world what happened and disclose the next plan for Delta State.
