President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently in a meeting with state governors that were elected in 1999, also called “Class of ‘99”.
The meeting that began at 04:25 pm, is being held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is the President’s first meeting with the former governors who were elected in 1999.
Former Governors Present are; Donald Duke of Cross River, Bisi Akande of Osun, James Ibori of Delta,Olusegun Osoba of Ogun, Lucky Igbinedion of Edo, Saminu Turaki of Jigawa, Niyi Adebayo of Ekiti, Orji Kalu of Abia, Obong Attah of Akwa Ibom and Sam Egwu of Ebonyi State.
Others present are Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu, Ibrahim Turaki of Jigawa, Adamu Muazu of Bauchi, Ahmad Yerima of Zamfara, Jolly Nyame of Taraba, Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto, and Joshua Dariye of Plateau.
