The Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Barr Kingsley Esiso has presented its party candidates for the upcoming 2018 local government election.
Barr Esiso presented them to journalists on the 13th day of November 2017 at the PDP state secretariat during a press briefing adding that it was also a medium to encourage other parties not to seat in their bedrooms and expect to win the elections but that they should come out and campaign on the field and tell the people what they have achieved through their individual parties.
Speaking further, Esiso said that their candidates have been thoroughly screened adding that primary elections have been held in all the local governments in the state and that the nomination was free and fair and not as a result of bribery.
The party chairman also stated that in regards to the protest by the Egbema people of Warri North that “there must be some people that will not be happy because every body wants to be” adding that the spate of comments that no primary election was held in Warri North is not true.
Responding to this statement Prince Binikuro of Egbema kingdom revealed that the PDP candidate for the local government chairmanship election was imposed on the Egbema people by Former Governor Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, State PDP Chairman Barr Kingsley Esiso amongst others adding that nobody gathered for the purpose of a primary election in Warri North due to the fact that there was an issue in the LGA, owing to a pre-arranged agreement 3 years ago for the Egbema people to produce the chairmanship candidate in Warri North local government area.
