The Supreme Court has reserved its judgment on the appeal filed by People’s Democratic Party and its governorship candidate David Ombugadu, challenging the victory of Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule.
The legal battle is between the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its governorship candidate, Hon Emmanuel David Ombugadu.
PDP and it’s Candidate are challenging the Court of Appeal’s decision, which upheld Sule as the duly elected governor of Nassarawa State.
On Tuesday, the presiding judge, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun reserved the ruling to a date to be communicated to the parties after counsels to the appellants and respondents adopted their briefs of argument.
The apex court also reserved judgement in the appeal filed by Major General Aminu Bande, the PDP governorship candidate in Kebbi State, challenging the election of Nasir Idris of the APC as the governor of the state.
