The presiding pastor of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said that the 2023 elections showed Nigerians are tired of what All Progressive Congress has become.
Bakare mentioned this while delivering a speech themed, ‘Vice, Virtue & Time: Three Things That Never Stand Still,’ on Sunday, 13th July, during a State Nation Broadcast, at the church at Ikeja, Lagos.
The Cleric and Politician said that APC has deviated from it set principles, adding that the party is not what he envisaged.
He said, “At this juncture, I must also sound a warning to the APC. I was there when the APC was formed and the extent of my involvement is well documented. As a stakeholder and more importantly as a nation builder, I’m more obligated to state without equivocation that this is not the APC we envisaged.
“The results of the last elections were clear indications that Nigerians are fed up with what the APC had become.”
The cleric also advised the present administration to kill corruption not the people.
“So, if you know these people, go after them and don’t punish (innocent) Nigerians for it. Kill corruption and not Nigerians. The same impulsive style of leadership occurred in the way we are rather going by way of peace and by way of negotiation. We’re putting war on the table and the people we send to Niger Republic returned, more or less not attended to by those who are supposed to receive them.”
