The Presidential Election Tribunal sitting in Abuja, has reserved judgements of the petitions filed against President Bola Tinubu by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Respondents in the suit are the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the All Progressives Congress.
Key highlights from today’s hearing are;
1. The matter was presided over by five-member panel.
2. Atiku and Obi were physically present at the tribunal as the court adopted the final written address against the victory of Tinubu and the APC.
3. The tribunal reserved judgement of the petition filed by the People Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
4. The tribunal also reserved judgment of the petition filed by the Labour Party presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.
5. After adopting the parties’ final written addresses, the tribunal reserved judgment to a later date that will be communicated to the both parties.
