Frontline Presidential hopeful and former Governor of Jigawa State, Dr. Sule Lamido has kicked off his consultative visits across the country with Delta State being among his first point of call to advance his ambition.
Lamido who arrived the State Capital with his entourage, was received by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa at Government House, Asaba, from where he moved to the PDP State Headquarters where Officials of the party were rallied to receive him.
Welcoming the Presidential aspirant to the Party’s secretariat, the state PDP chairman, Barr Kingsley Esiso said that there is no doubt that Nigerians are not happy with the APC government which is evidently present in the undeniable sufferings and deaths in the country, stating that the message is overwhelmingly clear, “vote out APC, vote in PDP”.
Barr Esiso noted that Dr. Sule Lamido is the first Presidential aspirant to visit the State Secretariat and that his own personal opinion is clear, but that as a party, all measures will be taken to ensure that a good candidate who has the interest of Nigerians at heart be presented, adding that he believes and pray that God will see Lamido through, as he tours through the Country preaching on the need for unity.
In his speech, Lamido said that PDP has for so many times, done wonders and can still do so, adding that is the reason why PDP Governors and other elective officers, and appointees are doing well. He submitted that, if given the responsibility, PDP will do well.
