By Lucky Isibor,
Former gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 Edo State governorship election, Barr. Kenneth Imasuangbon, has predicted that there would be revolution if the 2019 presidential election is rigged by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
He gave the prediction while defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Benin City on Monday, October 1, 2018
Imasuagbon who recalled when he told the then president Jonathan that he was going to loss the election he never believed it, said that he is repeating the same statement that president Muhammadu Buhari will be voted out of the office because of the present economic hardship in the country.
“The suffering in our land is too much, the hunger, the pain is too much. Women, men suffered to train their children out of schools no jobs.
“This is no longer acceptable. So all men of good conscience, men of good will and women of good will conscience must rise up for us to rescue our country and take our country back from the current marauders called the APC. No justice, no equity, no fairness in our country. Too many have died.
“So this is the best time because I can count on my finger tips, four months to go, APC will be history. When I told PDP under Jonathan five months to go you will be history, I am repeating it now, i said it in Edo, you were there. I said I foresee a revolution, you thought it was gone and it was not gone.
“I foresee a revolution in 2019, Buhari’s administration is gone. Make no mistake about it because Nigerians will vote him out. APC has failed enough is enough we must take our country back”, he said.
Kenneth also called on the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole to resign over his alleged comment on rigging in the just concluded Osun election.
He said with the outcome of Ekiti and Osun governorship elections, he has come to the conclusion that PDP is a better democratic party than the APC that is filled with cheats and insincere people.
His words: “A new dawn has come. I am back home. I am proud to say I am back to the family. I choose to come back home because of the situation in the country: unemployment, killings, frustrations, and and uncertainties which are what we celebrate today in Nigeria”.
According to him, “I have travelled round the world and see them celebrate. They celebrate greatness. At 54 years, am sure I have spent half of my life on earth. There is nothing to fear anymore, and that is why some of us are saying enough is enough.
“I have tested the two political parties and I have seen it all. I did not come back to seek for any political office but to seek for true democracy which I believe PDP has provided good leadership”.
Receiving Imansuangbon and his teaming supporters at the party secretariat in Benin City, Edo PDP Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, described him as a big fish he knew up to his bedroom.
Chief Orbih who was represented by the state Deputy Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Ogbomon, while presenting the PDP card to Imansuangbon signifying his membership of the party, appealed that he should use his good position as he was doing before to work for the party.
“You were sharing rice to all the 192 Wards in Edo and you are not in government which I believe you are still not.
“Therefore, on behalf of the leadership and members of the party, I welcome you back to your home, PDP”.
