Professional Brazilian footballer, Neymar Junior, had a scare on Tuesday, November 7, as kidnappers invaded the house of his girlfriend, Bruna Biancardi, in Cotia, in the state of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
According to the R7 newspaper, Biancardi’s parents were at home as at the time of the invasion and were tied up but not hurt.
The Municipal Civil Guard noted that one of the suspects, who has already been arrested, is a resident of the condominium where the Biancardi family had a house and would have allowed the other criminals in.
Biancardi’s parents said that two of the suspects were armed and were looking for Bruna and Mavie, the daughter of star striker Neymar. Both were not at the residence at the time of the invasion.
Neighbours called the authorities after noticing that something strange was going on in the house. The agents surrounded the property and managed to arrest one suspect, who was a resident of the condominium. The others fled with luxury handbags, watches, and jewellery.
As at the time of filing this report, Neymar has not yet made a statement about the incident.
